First of all I'd like to wish all those who are competing for the Ridler Award this weekend in Detroit the best of luck & hope everyone's dreams are fulfilled. This week's post is of the 2004 Ridler award winner, the 37 Willys named the "King", that was featured on TLC's Ride's program, "Road to the Ridler" episode. As those who are interested in this competition know, there's a tremendous amount of work involved with every aspect of building one of these entrants & each year the degree of difficulty increases. We made the one off 6 hole wing shaped aluminum dash panel that housed a digital display. We also modified the shift knob & wheel centers to accept a Willys logo. To view more of this Willys & other customer cars click on the links below. I've written several features of cars & trucks through the years, both Ridler winners & daily drivers & everything in between. Thanks !
Here's a 68 Camaro that was a finalist for the "Street Machine of the Year" a while ago in Columbus. We made the machined one off license plate frame & the one off gas, brake & parking brake pedals for this protouring autocross car. To view more of our one off machine work & features of past customer's cars & trucks click on the link below. Thanks !
